About the Company
RS Research, founded by Prof. Dr. Rana Sanyal and Sena Nomak to bring laboratory research to the clinical stage and to humans, has developed the Sagitta® drug carrier platforms, whose intellectual property rights are protected worldwide. With this technology, which makes it possible to increase the effectiveness of chemotherapy and reduce its side effects, the nano-drug, taken into the cell thanks to the targeting module that recognizes receptors on the tumor surface, releases the active substance here, showing its full effect only on the tumor. RS Research has developed 6 new drug candidates targeting different types of cancer with the Sagitta® platform technology. The clinical trial of RS-0139, our country's first new drug candidate whose development steps, starting from laboratory design, were taken in Turkey and received approval from the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (TİTCK), is successfully continuing in two centers in our country. RS Research received GMP certification from TİTCK in 2021 for the production of lyophilized oncological drugs for clinical trials at its facility in Teknopark Istanbul, which has both synthesis and filling capabilities. RS Research, which received a seed investment of 2 million Euros from ACT Venture Partners in 2017, announced its Series-A investment round worth 12 million Dollars in 2021, led by GEN İlaç, with the participation of Eczacıbaşı Momentum and İstanbul Portföy. The company's founding partner, Prof. Dr. Rana Sanyal, received the "European Women Innovators Award" given by the European Union European Innovation Council (EIC) in 2024. Prof. Sanyal, selected as a Global Science & Technology Pioneer by Cartier Women’s Initiative in 2021, is listed as an inventor in over 50 internationally registered patents and patent applications, as well as her scientific publications. Representing our country on global stages with its successes, RS Research was entitled to support within the scope of the Technology Focused Industrial Move Program of the T.C.
