Boğaziçi University is strengthening Turkey's technology and entrepreneurship ecosystem with its new Teknopark investment at Uçaksavar Campus. The new center, notable for its 22,000 square meter indoor space, will bring together academic knowledge and innovative ventures.
Boğaziçi University is realizing a significant investment that will expand Turkey's technology and entrepreneurship capacity. The new Teknopark area, announced on the university's Uçaksavar Campus, is on its way to becoming one of Turkey's largest university technoparks with its 22,000 square meter indoor space and 15,000 square meter campus.
The new technopark is strategically positioned right next to Boğaziçi University's education and research areas, becoming a strategic hub that combines academic knowledge with entrepreneurship. Thus, Boğaziçi's academic productivity will now directly reach the business world, innovative ventures, and technology firms.
“SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP ARE IN BOĞAZİÇİ’S DNA”
Boğaziçi University Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Naci İnci stated that the new technopark is not just a structure but a concrete reflection of the university's entrepreneurial vision: “We are expanding Turkey's entrepreneurship ecosystem by focusing on technology and innovation with the academic accumulation of Boğaziçi University.”
With this investment, the Boğaziçi Teknopark area, which was only 700 square meters a few years ago, will grow 20-fold, taking its place among Turkey's leading university technoparks. The new technopark area is designed not only as offices, R&D laboratories, and incubation centers, but also as an ecosystem for knowledge sharing, mentoring, and industry meetings.
A NEW ENTREPRENEURSHIP BASE IN THE HEART OF THE UNIVERSITY
Boğaziçi Teknopark General Manager Dr. Cem Duran summarizes this new era as follows: “We are expanding Turkey's entrepreneurship ecosystem with the power of Boğaziçi's academic accumulation and productive human resources.” The technopark, which will become a new meeting point for entrepreneurs, researchers, and students, elevates university-industry collaboration to a new level.
