Drawing attention to the 20-year historical development of technoparks in Turkey in his speech, Dr. Cem Duran stated that the ecosystem has now reached a strong "R&D army" of 120,000 people. Sharing Boğaziçi Teknopark's vision for the next 5 years and its global goals, Duran emphasized the visionary projects carried out, especially in the field of health technologies. He highlighted Turkey's first domestic smart cancer drug project, which is being developed within our organization and whose clinical stages are ongoing, and shared the goal of becoming Turkey's first "Health Unicorn" with the audience.
In the program where venture capital and the global investment climate were also evaluated; it was conveyed that being solely focused on Unicorns is not sufficient for the sustainable growth of the ecosystem, and the critical role of successful "exit" processes and returned capital in funding new ventures was emphasized. Furthermore, visionary predictions were shared on how rapidly developing artificial intelligence technologies are transforming education, entrepreneurship, and technopark structures.
