The Electronic Document Registration Center (EBKM) is a strategic project launched to accelerate global trade, increase financial assurances, strengthen security, and align financial transactions with the digital transformation process. Developed to strengthen Turkey's digital trade infrastructure and ensure compliance with international standards, EBKM has been built inspired by global regulations. As Turkey's first and only RegTech (Regulatory Technologies) company, EBKM began operations in March 2018 at Bogazici University Technopark, Etiler Campus. As a strategic structure that shapes the global digital trade ecosystem of the future and enhances Turkey's competitiveness in the international arena, it will continue to support the transformation process in commercial payments, financial assurances, and liquidity management through electronic invoices and commercial documents compliant with global standards. Furthermore, international expansion will be accelerated by developing collaborations with countries where electronic invoicing is widely implemented, and digitalization of the global trade network will be pioneered. In Turkey, EBKM was established to ensure that the authenticity and storage of digital documents are supervised by an authorized authority, as required by MLETR, in line with Article 183 of the Turkish Code of Obligations No. 6098.
